How to Spend a Weekend in Tequila Mexico
Arrive in Guadalajara and check into Casa Fayette located in the hip Colonia Lafayette neighborhood. Once you’re settled, head to dinner at I Latina, a restaurant focusing on Latin American cuisine. After a long day of travel the vibrant interior will wake you up and get you excited for your weekend in Mexico.
After enjoying breakfast at Casa Fayette, head to the eclectic neighborhood of Tlaquepaque for shopping and gallery hopping through historical colonial mansions.
When you are done exploring, hire a driver to take you to Tequila Mexico.
Make your first stop the UNESCO certified agave fields. Then head to Tequila for a tour of the Jose Cuervo distillery. By the end of the day you will feel like a certified tequila expert.
Check in to Solar de las Animas and enjoy an alfresco dinner in their lovey garden courtyard.
Nurse your hangover by the pool at Solar de las Animas then spend the afternoon exploring the charming town of Tequila. Don’t forget to check out the vendors selling local handcrafts in the square.
After some exploring in town, head to the Tequila Express where there is a tequila tasting and authentic meal served on this luxury train back to the city.
Visit Lienzo Charros de Jalisco to watch the oldest rodeo in Mexico. You’ll be awed by the skills of local cowboys competing against other rival teams.
Afterwards, grab some tacos at Tacos Providencia before heading to the airport.
