It’s officially that time of year again…pumpkin spice lattes are out at all the coffee shops and everyone goes crazy for them! Once a slight chill hits the air, I’m ready for everything fall. Pumpkin spice, cozy sweaters, hot drinks- all of it! The real “season opener” for fall is always a pumpkin spice coffee drink.
I usually love a great pumpkin spice drink but over the last couple years I find the drink to be too sugary. It takes like I am drinking a cup of creamer with a side of coffee, it’s too much. I try to limit my sugar intake in the mornings so I decided to try and make my own coffee creamer.
Homemade Pumpkin Spice Coffee Creamer
In order to eliminate the excessive sugar, this homemade pumpkin spice coffee creamer is made with all natural ingredients. Pumpkin puree, full-fat coconut milk, vanilla almond milk, maple syrup, vanilla & pumpkin spice seasoning. It’s dairy-free too!
While my coffee is brewing, this is when I make the homemade creamer. I combine all of the ingredients into a small blender and let mix together for about 60 seconds. If you don’t have maple syrup then brown sugar or raw sugar will work too. This recipe takes just a few minutes to make and will last a couple days in the refrigerator.
Pour the homemade creamer over your black coffee, top it with your favorite whipped cream (mine is coconut) and enjoy the taste of fall!
