These past couple of months have been busy ones for us, but we’ve still managed to fit in some time to catch the latest and greatest on Netflix.
Our Netflix movies to watch consist of all original Netflix films. They’ve been killing it lately and we’ve really enjoyed the majority of what we have seen (skip the Ben Affleck one, major flop!). We’ve rounded up a few that we’ve watched recently and highly recommend them to you for when you are needing something to watch.
5 Original Netflix Movies to Watch
1. The Dirt
This is probably one of the better biopics I’ve ever seen. The movie is based off of Motley Crue’s memoir from 2001 that depicts their life during the peak time in their careers. I honestly didn’t know what I expect with this movie. I’ve always loved Mötley Crüe’s music (Girls, Girls Girls) but I didn’t know anything about the band. I was shocked at how crazy and wild rock stars were/are. The glimpse into their life is wild and such a great movie!
2. Wine Country
A full cast of some hilarious ladies! Five longtime friends travel to Napa Valley for their friends 50th birthday celebration. During the trip they become more open with each other (thanks to the wine!), share things going on in their lives and share lots of laughs. It is a feel-good movie that keeps you laughing the whole time. The vacation-envy is strong and makes me wants to put a trip together like this one ASAP!
3. Someone Great
Someone Great is both a break-up movie and an ode to female friendships. It’s an incredibly cute movie about Jenny who broke up with her boyfriend of 9 years (who, p.s. is super cute) and spends the following day trying to move on with her girlfriends by her side. I cried, I laughed and I immediately wanted a day to galavant around New York City with my best friends. If you are needing a good chick-flick, this is it! Just typing this up makes me want to go and watch it again.
4. Extremely Wicked Shockingly Evil and Vile
We had watched The Ted Bundy Tapes (much creepier/scarier!) a while back, so I was excited to hear about this movie. Even more so when I heard Zac Efron was playing Ted! I did think the movie was a little choppy/confusing in the beginning and, not to sound incredibly creepy, I was hoping it would be a little more about the murders. But Zac Efron did a really great job playing Ted Bundy and if you don’t know much of his story, I’d highly suggest watching. It’s not scary by any means, but the whole concept of Ted Bundy is creepy so there is that.
5. Good Sam
Kate is a NYC TV-reporter reporting on things like accidents & all the other “downer” things to report on. She discovers someone named “Good Sam” (Good Samaritan) who leaves $100k on peoples doorsteps that need it desperately. Kate investigates to try and find out who is doing it and why they are doing it. Is this “Good Sam” doing it for their own interest or really just to help? It’s a feel good, cutesy movie!
