A lot of the time, at the end of the night, my husband and I like to decompress with watching a good TV show. I’m sure this isn’t the most romantic thing ever but we actually really enjoy snuggling up and watching something together. No talking, no stress. Our only struggle is trying to find shows that we both like to watch . He usually hates anything that is emotional or “cutesy” and that is usually all I like. We vet the shows pretty hard before we watch them so we’re both confident we will like them. Throughout this year, we’ve found some shows that we both have really enjoyed and have great story lines.
Here are 5 Binge-Worthy TV Shows to Watch with Him:
This show is seriously one of the best shows we’ve watched in a long, long time. We kept getting recommendations from our friends about this show over and over again- finally we caved and watched it. I love Kevin Costner so when I saw that he was in it, I, of course, wanted to watch it. The Dutton Family has the largest ranch in Montana that they are always trying to defend. This show is filled with corruption, strong family history, crime and love.
Note: It’s on the Paramount Network.
2. The Chef Show
Usually I’m not a fan of documentaries but good cooking documentaries I love. The movie “Chef” is one of my husbands favorite movies so when he saw they made a real life show from it, he had to watch it. I was immediately sucked in too! We’ve watched a few episodes more than once, LOL! In this show, they explore food in and out of the kitchen and show how making a meal is about so much more than just the food.
3. The Sinner
This show literally kept me guessing until the very end. When watching the trailer I thought she was possessed and it was going to be something scary like that but it’s not like that. It’s so good! She commits this murder and has no idea why. Throughout the episodes, the detective and her travel through her hidden past and uncover dark secrets. There are 2 seasons on Netflix now and each season has a different storyline and characters. Season 2 is next on our list.
4. Tin Star
Another show recommendation by one of our friends. This show took a couple episodes to get in to but it definitely is a good one. Based in the Canadian Rockies, a police sheriff and his family move into this small town that is filled with corruption and crime. A large oil company, opens a refinery outside of town which brings even more crime and corruption. A friend of the police sheriff dies and he tries to find out why.
5. Jack Ryan
Definitely a show that I knew Matt would love but wasn’t sure I’d like it. I did! Jack Ryan is a CIA analyst and is put into a field assignment for the first time ever. He finds terrorist communication that is a whole new breed of terrorism that is on a global scale. Season 2 comes out November 1st.
