When it comes to cooking meals, the easier the better, right?! It doesn’t get much easier than putting everything in one pot, turning it on, letting whatever is in there cook for several hours, and then serving.
If you are like me and that sounds like your type of “cooking” then crockpot recipes are the way to go. While they are perfect for the summer months, no need to turn on the oven, crockpot recipes are even better for the colder months. I’m not sure why, but something about turning on the crockpot and letting the smells of whatever is cooking fill the house just screams fall to me.
Another great thing about having a few crockpot recipes on hand is that it helps you to slow down, which is exactly what our theme for September is.
No need to rush home from work to throw a meal together. Having the crockpot on and cooking throughout the day means you can come home, do what you need to do and then serve dinner. No prep work necessary. Win. Win.
I always look forward to a good crockpot recipe and there are some really great ones out there. As we start to enter into the colder, busier months ahead, I thought a good round-up of crockpot recipes was needed. We can all take our evenings a little slower, fill our houses with delicious smells and enjoy a nice meal with the family.
